Dr. Portillo is a born and raised Texan who, after growing up in San Antonio, went on to receive undergraduate degrees in Biology and Spanish at Texas Tech University in Lubbock (wreck 'em tech!). She then returned to the Alamo city where she earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio in 2017.
 

Dr. Portillo went on to complete her residency training at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is passionate about, and committed to, providing high quality, comprehensive care in obstetrics and women's health.
 

In her free time, Dr. Portillo enjoys spending time with family and friends, salsa dancing, and cheering on her Texas Tech Red Raiders.
